#SaveTheEats brings together local chefs, bars, clubs, and the people who love them. We collect, publish and amplify unique experiences, offers and opportunities that provide much-needed revenue to the businesses that need it most.
Our Mission
To support the restaurants, bars, clubs and the people who power them by offering unique experiences, offers, and opportunities that provide a bright spot for our community of food-loving locals.
Our Vision
A post-coronavirus culinary landscape with the people, restaurants, and other culinary businesses that power it re-emerging as strong as possible.
Our Story
On March 31st, 2020, two food-loving Philly start-up guys, Anthony Bucci and David Bookspan, funded and launched SavePhillyEats.com in an effort to help the local Philadelphia restaurant community during the early days of the COVID-19 crisis.
The #SavePhillyEats, supporters buy directly from the restaurants and bars featured on the site, and get and keep 100% of the money spent. There is zero financial benefit to any of the team members involved in the effort.
#SavePhillyEats generated hundreds of thousands of dollars in revenue directly to restaurants in the first week. Given its success, the team decided to replicate the model across cities throughout the country.
A special thanks goes to our marketing and media partner, Melissa Grimm of Grimm & Grove Communications. for her impactful contributions, which began at launch and have continued.

Anthony’s incredible wife, who’s now lost him to this endeavor. They have a lot of kids and they are all home. It’s bonkers.
